About us

A Newcastle accountancy practice you can actually talk to

We help business owners and individuals across the North East keep their finances in order, meet their deadlines and understand what the numbers mean, all explained in plain English.

How we work with clients

A lot of people have only ever dealt with an accountant once a year, when the accounts are due and the questions have long since passed. We wanted to build something different: a practice you can pick up the phone to whenever a decision comes up, not just at the deadline.

So we keep the relationship simple. You get one person who knows your business, figures that are kept up to date in the cloud, and answers that make sense without the jargon. We take time to understand where you are heading, then make sure the day-to-day work and the tax planning both pull in that direction.

What we value

What you can expect from us

Clear answers

Plain English from a named contact who knows your business, never a call centre or a ticket number.

Deadlines met

We track your filing dates and remind you in good time, so nothing is left until the last minute.

A step ahead

We point out ways to save tax and flag problems early, instead of waiting for you to ask.

Careful, correct work

Accounts and returns checked properly, with every relief and allowance you are due claimed in full.

Handled in confidence

Your information is kept secure and private, in line with data protection law.

In it with you

We judge how we are doing by how your business is doing, not just by getting the forms filed.

Who we help

The businesses and individuals we work with

We look after sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and individuals across all sorts of sectors, from trade and retail to hospitality, professional services and property. Whether you are just starting out or have been going for years, the level of support grows with you.

You also choose how we work together. Some clients like to meet in person around the North East; others would rather do everything online. Either way suits us, and we fit around how you run your business.

  • Sole traders and the self-employed
  • Limited companies and their directors
  • Contractors, freelancers and landlords
  • Start-ups and growing businesses

How it works

What happens when you get in touch

1

A first chat

Tell us where things stand and what you want to sort out. A short call or message is enough to get the picture.

2

A plan and a price

We talk through your options, suggest the support that fits and set a fixed fee, so you know the cost before you commit.

3

We take it on

We handle the accounts and tax, keep you ahead of your deadlines and stay on the end of the phone whenever something comes up.

A note on credentials. We would rather be accurate than make claims we have not confirmed here. Professional qualifications, body memberships such as ICAEW, ACCA or AAT, company registration details and any accreditations will be listed on this page once they are verified. If you would like to check our details before you decide to work with us, please get in touch and we will share them with you.
